this is the girl

Rain's debut album, in all my daze, features 12 original songs exploring mystical meditations, yearning, and inner peace, the album’s lyrical journey unfolds as an ongoing, unified concept when listened to in its entirety, with each song also capable of standing individually. Rain’s love of the sea and her youthful spirit are reflected in a central, thematic thread that invites the listener to embark on an imaginary voyage in search of truth and meaning. The album, which is currently in the final stages of mixing, is a collaboration with her father, Italian-born DJ and composer, Bruno Derlin (musically known as Derlin X1). The two started experimenting with cover songs from their favorite movies when Rain was just seven years old, and they have progressed to more serious endeavors, culminating in the aforementioned album and her most recent release, “What’s Up?,” a cover of the legendary 4 Non Blondes song featured in the spec pilot Burner.
